A few weeks ago I watched a different version of this video of The Known Universe. I found it rather unsettling as it aroused a feeling in me of being a very small speck in a very big place. This version of the video includes an uplifting, deeply healing voice over meditation by the well-known spoken word artist, Dreaming Bear.
With this addition of his words, the video now awakens in me a powerful realization of oneness with all of creation. That “speck” thinking is only a matter of perspective. Changing how we think of ourselves changes everything. Watch and enjoy!

There is real magic in the power of our thoughts. This is not airy-fairy New Age stuff. Nor is based on any religious tradition. In fact, science is proving that the thoughts we think about something dramatically alter its physical structure.
Japanese researcher Masaru Emoto has been doing amazing work recording the effects of energy on water. He photographed the crystal structure of water before and after being labeled with words relating to various aspects of life. Water samples exposed to hateful words like “I hate you” or “you make me sick” took on random, unattractive appearances.Water that was exposed to words like “love”, “thank you”, or “peace” changed to beautiful, crystalline structures much like elaborate snowflakes.
Water makes up 70% of the planet – including our bodies and the food we eat. If thought can affect water so much, imagine what it can do in our lives.

One sure way to cultivate happiness is to give. Venture out into nature as a being of pure love on a healing mission. Embrace the mysterious power we have as humans to change the structure of physical reality by radiating blessings and gratitude.
Create miniature nature cathedrals by arranging stones. Stack them as sentinels, make circle designs on the ground. See what happens when you combine different kinds of rocks, or change how they are piled up. Feel the differences by sitting at the center of your creations and meditating.
By using stones, you can play in nature without disturbing the natural setting too much or leaving lasting traces of your presence. Take photos and then it’s usually best to leave the area as you found it (unless the place has suffered and could use a magical infusion).
